How to support Afghanistan earthquake disaster relief efforts

On Saturday, October 7, a powerful earthquake hit western Afghanistan, causing widespread destruction and impacting thousands of lives. With a magnitude of 6.3, the earthquake caused buildings to crumble and compromised other infrastructure. Many have been left without shelter, food, or basic necessities.
In partnership with Charity Navigator, Vanguard Charitable created the below list of nonprofits responding to the situation in Afghanistan. These are highly rated organizations that are helping those affected by this disaster. This list is not exhaustive. We have expedited the granting process so your grant can be put to use as quickly as possible. More information is located below the table.
