Tennessee Tornadoes: Support disaster relief

Dec 15, 2023

On Saturday, December 9, 2023, a string of tornadoes tore through Middle Tennessee. Six people were killed, and dozens were injured during the disaster.

Now, Tennesseans in the area are facing large scale destruction. Hundreds of homes, including those at the local military base, were completely destroyed or damaged enough to be uninhabitable, leaving hundreds of families, including veterans, displaced. All of this is further complicated by freezing winter temperatures.

Your Vanguard Charitable donor-advised fund (DAF) is a powerful way to provide immediate support to those in need. In partnership with Charity Navigator, we are providing a list of trustworthy organizations responding to the situation in the Tennessee and allowing funds to be restricted to this particular disaster’s relief efforts. The nonprofit community's response will be ongoing, and as such, this list is not meant to be exhaustive. All of the listed nonprofits are signed up for Grant Payments via PayPal and can receive funds more quickly than those sent via paper check.1
