May 05, 2020

Malvern, Pa., May 5, 2020 Vanguard Charitable, a leading nonprofit and sponsor of donor-advised funds, announced today the launch of its new podcast – The Value in Giving. Hosted by Vanguard Charitable President Jane Greenfield, the series features engaging and informative discussions with senior executives from leading nonprofit organizations and community foundations across the U.S.

The Value in Giving podcast spotlights diverse perspectives and experiences in an effort to inspire impactful giving by sharing insights and inspirational stories about the generous donors who catalyze lasting, meaningful changes.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has illuminated both the vast needs in our communities and the donors who have stepped up in response. The Value in Giving is a platform to share these moving stories and to hear from experts in the field about how to give thoughtfully and impactfully,” says Jane Greenfield, President of Vanguard Charitable. “It is our hope that The Value in Giving helps build lasting connections between donors, nonprofits, and the communities they serve.”

Over the next few weeks, The Value in Giving focuses on how COVID-19 is changing the charitable giving landscape, how nonprofits are responding, and the future of philanthropy. During each episode,  Greenfield dives into the pressing issues to understand what organizations are doing to help relief efforts, hear stories from the front lines, and give advice on how donors can take action now to support relief efforts. This season’s first three guests include:
1.    Nicole Taylor, President and CEO of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation
2.    Michael Nyenhuis, President and CEO of UNICEF USA
3.    Victoria Vrana, Deputy Director of Giving By All at The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
