Colombia Earthquake Relief

Aug 14, 2026

On August 10, 2026, a devastating 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, resulting in tragic loss of life, collapsed buildings, and widespread displacement in hard-hit areas like Pereira. As rescue efforts continue, humanitarian organizations are urgently mobilizing to support survivors who have lost their homes and livelihoods.

Thousands of people are in urgent need of safe shelter, food, water, and medical care. In response, local and international nonprofits are mobilizing to deliver emergency assistance, restore essential services, and support the long-term recovery and resilience of the communities most severely impacted.

You can use your Vanguard Charitable donor-advised fund (DAF) account to support impacted communities in Colombia. The list below, developed in partnership with Charity Navigator, includes highly rated nonprofits that are actively involved in disaster relief and recovery efforts in the region.
