Charities providing humanitarian relief in Israel and Gaza Strip

On October 7, 2023, Hamas carried out a militant attack on Israeli civilians. Since the attack, violence in the area continues to escalate, causing a humanitarian crisis for millions of people in affected communities in Israel and the Gaza Strip.
Based on nonprofits recommended by Charity Navigator, Vanguard Charitable created the following list of vetted, highly rated charities. This list is not exhaustive. These organizations are providing humanitarian relief to the people impacted by the conflict. American Near East Refugee Aid | 52- 0882226 | ANERA is working to provide immediate aid to those in need in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. Funds will go to providing affected communities with resources, such as blood bags for medical relief and food parcels. |

American Friends of Magen David Adom | 13- 1790719 | Magen David Adom provides disaster relief, ambulance, and blood services. During this time, their resources are even more necessary. Fund will go to supporting the efforts of MDA to provide medical relief to those in Israel in need of aid. |

Oxfam-America** | 23- 7069110 | Oxfam provides disaster relief with a focus on helping the most vulnerable. Their mission is to fight injustice and inequity. They work with local partners to assess the needs of those affected. |
International Rescue Committee | 13- 5660870 | The IRC serves people upended by conflict to help them recover and rebuild after disaster. They will continue to provide ongoing support to affected civilian populations. |
