Nepal Flood Relief

Aug 31, 2026

On August 26, flash floods struck Nepal's border region with Tibet after a glacier collapse released a flow of rock, ice, and debris, damaging buildings, bridges, and power stations. The disaster has killed hundreds of people across Nepal and Tibet, with thousands still missing.

Thousands of people are in urgent need of safe shelter, food, water, and medical care. In response, local and international nonprofits are mobilizing to deliver emergency assistance, restore essential services, and support the long-term recovery and resilience of the communities most severely impacted.

You can use your Vanguard Charitable donor-advised fund (DAF) account to support impacted communities in Nepal. The list below, developed in partnership with Charity Navigator, includes highly rated nonprofits that are actively involved in disaster relief and recovery efforts in the region.
