How to help Hurricane Fiona recovery efforts

Sep 22, 2022

On September 18, near the five-year anniversary of Hurricane Maria's landfall, Puerto Rico was hit by another extreme storm, Hurricane Fiona. With more than 20 inches of rain, the territory experienced torrential downpours and flash floods. The immediate aftermath of the hurricane has seen damage to wide swaths of Puerto Rico and some surrounding islands. Many people are in an all-too-familiar cycle amid this catastrophic destruction, living without power, struggling to rebuild damaged homes and infrastructure, and missing basic necessities.
In partnership with Charity Navigator, we are providing a list of highly rated nonprofit organizations that are responding to the situation in Puerto Rico and on other islands. The nonprofit community's response will be ongoing, and as such, this list is not meant to be exhaustive.
